Life is in Many Days brings together four major bodies of work by acclaimed Irish photographer Seamus Murphy, spanning more than three decades of work across Afghanistan, Ireland, India, Russia, and the United States.
Known for his deeply human approach to documentary photography, Murphy's work moves beyond headlines and stereotypes to reveal the complexity of lives shaped by history, conflict, and place. Rather than documenting events alone, he photographs the people who live through them, creating images of remarkable empathy and beauty.
Murphy says, "I'm always striving for intimacy and a certain kind of poetic realism.”
